12.19.08 | Studio Guitar Reel
Over the past few months I have had the amazing privilege of collaborating with some incredible people ranging from the Alex Flanigan Band, to the crew at Planet of Sound, and Universal Music. I have made a Studio Guitar Reel, that features a wide variety of Studio Guitar work I have done with these various projects, and many others as well.

There's really nothing like the studio. The amazing control one has on an artistic level is vast, and I find myself burning away hours in sheer blissful curiosity exploring the sounds, and possibilities that exist in the studio realm.

Enjoy-

Dave

11.19.08 | Track "American Dream" #3 on College Charts
My recent collaboration with Mr. Ozwald has soared to number 3 on college charts in all of North America!

Lets hope it keeps moving to the top!

11.09.08 | Universal Music Group- Killer Tracks
A few months ago a great friend from my Eastman School of Music days contacted me and asked me if I could write a few pieces for his company.

Turns out he has become very successful, working for the Universal Music Group as executive producer of "Killer Tracks".

He hooked me up with my former roommate and classmate at Yale, and amazing friend Jay Wadley, and we wrote our first piece together, "Cavatina". "Cavatina" has a dramatic tone, and we all believe that it has great commercial usability.

After we completed this together, I was asked to write two more pieces in a more pop vain. With deadlines to meet, I shot back down to Yale, and Jay and I put the two pieces together. The first of the second wave of pieces is commercial oriented, something you might hear on a car or bank commercial, and the other one, has a weightless feel.

The pieces will all be coming out a guitar and strings album from Killer Tracks, and the process of finding homes for these pieces will begin!

The pieces are just getting ready to "Go Live". The link will be provided to hear these pieces that we are all so excited for.

11.05.08 | Bach Review!
"David Veslocki plays Bach's lute works on the guitar with a refinement and insight that is usually reserved to the best lute players. His suite movements dance with a clarity of form that is both stimulating and elegant."

Artistic Director, Newport Baroque

10.31.08 | Yale Association Concert
I just returned from my concert for the Yale Association, and it was a great success! The audience was intimate and very sincere, the campus was incredibly beautiful, and the hospitality was fantastic.

In many ways, Brown University reminds me of Yale (for more reasons than the fact that I was surrounded by Yale Grads). As I turned the corners, each street had a distinctive flavor of my favorite spots at Yale.

A beautiful time of year for the drive to, the foliage on the way out was just enchanting, and I was accompanied on the car ride by my beautiful Heather!

Now its time to crash, and get up in the morning and give my very best to my students at Conard and Hall!

10.28.08 | Music Video By IPM Productions
I'd like to thank my good friends at IPM productions, for making me a video.

I was approached about the video while playing at the "Strings Attached" concert series hosted by the Raleigh Conservatory in tandem with IPM Productions, and it occurred to me as a surprise that we were making as we drove out to a beautiful field, and unloaded cameras and began to shoot!

IPM is doing some amazing things. Make sure to check them out. These guys are on the horizon, covering everything from high profile audio recording, to high quality animation, and as you'll see in the video, great video work as well.

Thanks, and enjoy the video!

Dave

10.24.08 | Featured Artist at the Yale Association, In RI
Thanks to my amazing Prof. Ben Verdery, who I already miss studying with in the few months that I've been an alumni at Yale, I will be the featured performer this year at the Annual meeting of the Yale Association this year, held in Newport R.I.

I look forward to the night. I will be performing two halves at the concert. The first will be strictly Classical, and the second half, Jazz. This is the type of concert I have been looking forward to playing for so long, and I am thrilled that I have been invited to play.

I am so looking forward to seeing Newport, I haven't been there since I was a kid, but I remember loving the place!

10.20.08 | Harrisburg!
This weekend I once again had the honor and privilege of sharing the stage with Austin Moorhead, one of my favorite guitarists of my own generation.

The Trinity Lutheran Church was beautiful, and the audience was full, thanks to our friend Tim Koch. The foliage was ideal this time of year, and the city reflected a bit of stockholm across the water.

I cannot wait to get back to this beautiful city, with its many beautiful scenes, and kind people to play again!

09.25.08 | New Recording Miracle
A few months ago while warming up in an airport for a concert, I was approached by a family who told me that after my concert, we needed to get together because they had some equipment they thought I could use.

After my concert, I returned to CT, and was contacted by the family. I went to their house, played for them a bit, and then they unveiled an apple G5, loaded with pro tools, reason, ableton live, seven professional level mics, and a musicman amp from the 70's. This is just the beginning of the shopping spree/Christmas gift load of gear they gave me.

I would like to thank this family for supporting my career in such an amazing way! You guys are some of the kindest people I know!

With great love, and enjoy my new recordings,

Dave Veslocki

09.22.08 | New Website
Welcome everyone- the new site is up! I will be updating it as often as possible!

09.22.08 | Music Videos with Alex Flanigan to Come!
I am thrilled to announce that there will be a music video shot for Alex Flannigan's two singles "Gonna Love You Anyway", and "All About Love" and that the guitar solos will be in amazing locations!

I will not giveaway any inside info on the locations, but I know you'll all be thrilled when you see it.

Also, I am expecting my classical music video shot this summer in North Carolina to come out by November- so keep your eyes out!

09.21.08 | Collaboration with Rapper Mr. Ozwald on "American Dream"
I just wanted to invite everyone to check out my collaboration with Rapper Mr. Ozwald, the link is below:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=29504704

I had a killer time on this track with my good friend from 4th grade Mr. Ozwald. We linked up and it was just like the old days. Just like the old days except now we can produce a track thats gonna put us on the map.

American Dream is a feel good American Anthem very appropriate for the times, which just makes you glad to step on our soil-

So far the tune has been received really well, and I received an amazing review from Oz describing me as follows: "David Veslocki plays like Jimi Hendrix with a masters degree from Yale".

How would I describe Oz? He's like the distilled enjoyment you get when listening to rap without anything toxic- he's going to be huge, and much more appealing to many more target audiences than any other rapper. Love the guy.

I am a happy man with this track! When I got the final mix back, I played it in my car for days straight! Its amazing what a great producer can do (props to Bruno Beats and OZ!).

I love doin studio work, and this by far was the most fun I've had in the studio playing electric-

Much love

Dave
